Celebrate Your MPN Heroes!

Since 2013, the MPN Heroes® Recognition Program has recognized individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to improving the lives of people with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). The program focuses on polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET), and myelofibrosis (MF)—the three "classical" MPNs.

The Heroes program was created in the spirit of fostering community among people living with these rare, chronic blood cancers. The goal of the program is to create as many opportunities as possible for people with MPNs to be heard and supported, so more solutions and treatment options will emerge.

2023 Nominations Are Now Closed

Thank you to all for nominating the Heroes who made a difference for people living with MPNs. The 2023 Heroes nomination period is now closed—but the excitement is just beginning. The 2023 MPN Heroes will be revealed in December!

Be among the first to meet the 2023 MPN Heroes when you visit the full MPN Heroes website in December 2023.

Reflecting on 10 Years of MPN Heroes

In 2022, the MPN Heroes celebrated the 10th anniversary of the MPN Heroes Program. Take a look to see 10 years of MPN Heroes talk about what the program means to them.

Recognize the MPN Heroes in Your Life

If you or a loved one is impacted by PV, ET, or MF, you may already have met a real MPN Hero. These individuals and organizations can be found throughout the MPN community. An MPN Hero can be:

  • A patient whose strength has inspired you
  • A caregiver who has consistently offered you support and reassurance
  • A Healthcare Professional who is an exceptionally committed partner in working with you to manage your MPN
  • An organization or advocacy group dedicated to improving MPN care and support
